Thresholds is a visual examination of the time and space between the linear narrative of our lives – often overlooked, seen as moments in time or transition periods before something, neither fully within one state nor another.
Amber Johnston, Grant Bellamy and Paula Thistleton collaborate to explore the concept of liminal space: the in-between zones where identity, memory, and meaning of past and future can shift. While each artist approaches this transitional terrain through their unique visual language they are united by an interest in how time and space of the after and before fold into one another.
