Create a series of unique prints that also make excellent gifts or personal keepsakes as you explore the creative potential of working within a set format – 20cm x 20cm. This limitation encourages you to adapt, experiment, and activate creativity in unexpected ways. This one-day workshop is designed alongside the Tiliqua Tiliqua exhibition of the same theme, so there will be plenty to inspire you on site. No printmaking experience is required.

This one-day workshop is all about creating unique, handmade Christmas presents through printmaking. You’ll explore playful techniques, experiment with colour and texture, and leave with a collection of one-of-a-kind prints ready to be gifted. No printmaking experience is needed. Each technique will be demonstrated step by step, and you’ll be supported with handouts and guidance throughout the day.

Colour Fun: a one day linoprinting workshop exploring colour reduction and chine collé

Unique Jewellery Making with Reclaimed Material

In this fun one day workshop, you’ll learn to explore ‘waste’ resources in new ways, culminating in your own piece (or two, or three) of jewellery. Work with reclaimed bicycle parts, o-rings, plastics, string, textile waste and embellishments to create a pendant, brooch, hair pin or bangle.

ABOUT OUR TEACHERS
Katika Schultz holds a BFA in Printmaking from the National Art School and has been teaching for the past three years. She regularly exhibits across Sydney, including at Tiliqua Tiliqua, and has been a recipient of many art residencies and a finalist in major Australian art prizes. Passionate about accessibility, education, and experimentation, she encourages artists to embrace play, discovery, and the unique qualities of printmaking.

Maggie Stein holds a degree in Visual Art, a certificate in Etching and a Diploma of Education. She has 35 years of experience teaching across all ages from infants to adults. Maggie has been the recipient of numerous awards over the years and has exhibited widely. She is a current finalist in the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award and the Wollongong Art Prize.

Lou Nade is an award winning product designer, fibre artist and sculptor. Passionate about the health of the planet, circularity and reduction of waste, Lou works with reclaimed landfill, found, natural and compostable materials. She regularly exhibits and teaches across Sydney, the Southern Highlands and on the Sapphire Coast where she currently resides.
