tiliqua tiliqua

is the name of our small (but perfectly formed) gallery at 257 Enmore Rd, Enmore. The gallery is usually open 12–6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 12–4pm Sunday while an exhibition is on, or at other times by arrangement. Please check the opening times for the current exhibition here on the website or in our social media. At this time the gallery is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

The gallery is available to hire for exhibitions, events, workshops (and more!). Do contact us if you need more information or to organise a visit.

tiliqua studio

is a combined art-making and printing space that is the permanent creative home of Felix Oppen (who really should get his website happening) and Kate Riley. They are more than happy to share the space, and their two presses (one etching press and one letterpress) with others.

The studio began, in it’s first iteration in Hutchinson St, St Peters (there is still a sign on the wall there) in 2010 as a art-making space and co-work design studio. The studio moved to it’s current location in Enmore in early 2022 where the gallery space was opened.

And no, the name did not come about because we like tequila (and had had a few too many when we came up with the name), but if you remember us as tequila tequila, that’s fine, we’re just happy that you remember us. The actual origin of the name has quite a long story and involves a beer brand/company that is now defunct, ask us, and we’ll tell you the short version of the story.
