ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Ro Murray
Ro’s art practice is influenced by her thirty-year career as an architect, and refined by her study at NAS (BFA Hons 2010). Since 2018, her art practice has focussed on relief printmaking, and its extension as wall constructions and installations. Ro has staged ten solo exhibitions and been selected for many art prizes and awards. Her lino printed pianola rolls were exhibited at the Canberra Art Biennial and the Arte Laguna Prize in the Arsenale Venice, and acquired by the State Library NSW. Ro has developed a landscape language, combining abstract geographical shapes, historic research and topographic maps to make a landscape journey on reused rolls of perforated paper.

Felix Oppen
Felix has had a long and varied career. He trained first as a scientist at the University of Sydney, then as communication designer at the Billy Blue College of Design. He went on to obtain a Master of Design in 2007 from UTS. His primary interest was in typography. Now that he runs Tiliqua Tiliqua, a gallery and art making space in Enmore with his partner, Kate Riley, he has transitioned away from client driven creativity into self-directed artistic expression. He draws on his passions for typography, photography, letterpress, lino & woodblock printing, bringing them together into a unified art practice.

Kate Riley
Born in PNG, Kate now works and lives on Gadigal land. Her initial creative career was in graphic design, but after several years and two children she decided to realise a long-held dream and study art. In 2009, she completed an honours degree in Fine Art at the National Art School, majoring in printmaking. Her art-making practice now includes her love of traditional crafts such as hand-stitching and knitting, as well as drawing and printmaking. In addition to art-making, Kate runs Tiliqua Tiliqua, a gallery and art making space in Enmore with her partner, Felix Oppen.
