Sage Blake Rivers – Part of Us

Untitled (Suspended bronze sculpture) — NFS
2015-24, hand-dyed jute, bronze

I bind, I wrap, I decompress.
My action is to close my limbs within.
To set my soul free, I restrict part of my body movements.
My leg contained.
My weight loaded on one point.
Stress.
Strength to maintain.
Time is short.
The adrenalin rush. Magic.
My confidence increases.
I am capable.
I grow.
I inspire myself.
I explore.
I fall. In love.
