‘I often make work about self perception and self image, but i’ve always struggled with drawing pictures of people that appear to have actual emotions? Drawing emotions is difficult, so one day I decided to draw a bunch of self portraits on hour 6 of an insane panic attack, to get some of those emotions in there. From that I created an etching, with multiple drawings layered on top of each other, which I think continued by physically cutting it out and layering it over itself.‘
