Gilded Shadows (2024) intertwines Hanoi’s architecture with playful, childlike ghost imagery. Through this artwork, I aim to depict memories of my birthplace. The artwork explores Vietnam’s landscape, focusing on Hanoi’s cityscape, and features cartoon-style ghosts navigating historical landmarks. The print looks into the stories within old Vietnamese houses, reflecting the war-torn history and giving voice to silenced communities.
