ABOUT THE ARTWORK
As an established Art Director and emerging artist, my work sits happily between design, art, and textiles.
I explore the tactile and textural qualities of mixed media — working with fabric, textiles, and paper to create pieces that feel both familiar and reimagined.
My current project looks at the beauty found in the ordinary by taking everyday objects that we consume and discard, and honouring their beauty through richly textural works of art.
The pieces celebrate the charm, nostalgia, and familiarity of these objects.
Each work is made using salvaged threads and vintage linens — materials that were thrown away or once part of daily life but have since been discarded. Through this process, I aim to give new life to what has been overlooked, transforming the discarded into something quirky, joyful, and lasting.
