Home, will we meet again superimposes scenes from within the domestic realm onto the ghost of sports cars as an argument for the recognition of cars as an emotional extension of self. For some individuals, cars provide a sense of safety and vulnerability that the home could never provide. When was the last time you cried in a car? Kissed someone in a car? Screamed along to music? Felt truly alone? Cars foster a sense of safety enabling the experience of these moments. Even for those who do not drive, the moments of reflection experienced can be fleeting but are nonetheless emotionally valuable. And for some, a car is more a home than a house is. With this work I intend to shift the lens in which cars are perceived away from their cosmetic value and reconstruct their reputation has emotionally valuable objects.
