My inking of a Roseate Spoonbill examines the assertion that the colour Magenta does not exist in the natural world. Rather than dispute it or agree, the tone is playful as I have shifted the original magenta hues of the bird. I found it a delight to make. Playful is how I feel when i see the colour, especially on magnificent creatures; waders like spoonbills and flamingoes often being dyed various shades of this from their diets. Its interesting to me that something incidental like eating shrimp adds to their beauty.
