Glenda Thompson has always made art and loved nature. She’s exploring the forms of aquatic and botanical creatures currently with her linocut prints. She often completes the prints using the presses at the Warringah Printmakers Studio. The Red Lionfish, Pterois volitans, is a spectacular fish often seen in corals reefs in the central and western Pacific and as far as Western Australia. I saw one last year snorkelling in Fiji, which was an inspiration for this work.
