ABOUT LAUREN VAN DORT, ELLA VAN DORT-GILMORE, MIA VAN DORT-GILMORE
Lauren van Dort is an interdisciplinary artist working on Gadigal land. A recent graduate of University of Sydney’s Bachelor of Visual Arts, she work explores the ways in which collage and abstraction can express memory . The cutting ,tearing and reassembling of discarded images, her work reflects the pandemonium and excitement of the past and the present , and the celebration of both life and death.
A recent graduate of the University of Technology’s Bachelor of Design in Photography, Ella van Dort-Gilmore is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Gadigal Country (Sydney, Australia). Creating primarily in analogue photographic practices with both still and moving images, her work acts as a consideration on the intersection between the notions of home, memory and family.
Mia van Dort-Gilmore is a multidisciplinary artist working on Gadigal land. She is currently completing her final year of study at National Art School, Darlinghurst. Through video, installation, sculpture and printmaking , Mia’s work explores integral aspects of memory, intersectionality and identity.
