The Kuringai Country series was inspired by the local landscape around my home. I have always sought connection to the natural environment wherever I have lived, and these paintings are an exploration of the bush lining the banks of Middle Harbour and Fig Tree Cove. I walk these dirt tracks frequently and examine the changing of seasons in our native Flora.

Much of my career has been devoted to depicting intricate details on an intimate scale. In this series I wanted to attempt to depict something of the grandeur of the magnificent landmarks which guide my path home.
