Hellenes is a homage to the forefathers of my heritage and the abounding inheritance they bequeathed to us.
Top row: Plato, Homer, Aristotle, Socrates
Middle row: Sophocles, Pythagoras, Plutarch, Xenophon
Bottom row: Phidias, Alexander the Great of Macedon, Hippocrates, Archimedes
I created these portraits on upcycled canvas as part of a sustainable art initiative. Over 300 canvases of the same size were saved from their inevitable landfill fate.
