A thousand flowers were never going to be enough…
Andrew Ensor returns to Tiliqua Tiliqua with a new retrospective. Featuring drawings selected from the past two decades, the exhibition shows how a body of work can grow from its early impressionistic influences, branching out in different directions over time.
The exhibition takes flowers as a unifying concept, from the visual image, to playing on themes of the decorative, the romantic and the poetic.
Flowers are deconstructed into explosions of colour. Sunflowers set on fire.
